Buffet instruments are renowned and respected worldwide. Although they are probably better known for their clarinets, they have been making very fine oboes for over a century and have had many innovative ideas along the way. Many players will have started their playing life on a Buffet student oboe and will have progressed well because of it.
The Buffet Academy oboe is a full Gillet professional system model. Although this one is around 50 years old (I think), it looks as though it has had very little use and is in superb order.
